Who We Are

“Inclusive Resilience: Creating Environmental Sustainability and Disaster Resilience Through Paralympic Sport” is an EU-supported initiative led by the Turkish National Paralympic Committee and backed by the Turkish National Agency. The project aims to empower young Paralympic athletes, disabled youth, youth leaders, coaches, trainers, and organizations working in environmental sustainability and disaster resilience.

The Turkish National Paralympic Committee (Türkiye Milli Paralimpik Komitesi) is the organization responsible for organizing and overseeing Turkey’s participation in the Paralympic Games. It works to promote the Paralympic movement in Turkey, support athletes with disabilities, and ensure their representation in international competitions. The committee aims to increase awareness and opportunities for people with disabilities in sports and to foster an inclusive sporting environment.

Let’s Do It Türkiye joined the “Let’s Do It World” movement, which was carried out in 16 countries worldwide, in 2012, and started the “Clean Up Day” events in Turkey. The Clean Up Day events, held regularly every year, bring together millions of people from every region of Turkey to collect waste on streets, beaches, parks, and forests, creating awareness to protect nature.

Marmara University is a prominent public university located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was founded in 1883 as the Hamidiye Ticaret Mekteb-i Âlisi (Imperial School of Commerce) and later evolved into a comprehensive university offering a wide range of academic programs. Marmara University is known for its strong emphasis on research, education, and community service. It has multiple faculties, institutes, and research centers catering to various fields of study, including medicine, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. The university plays a significant role in higher education in Turkey and internationally, contributing to academic development and cultural exchange.

Youth Station Association is an organization that empowers young people and supports international mobility to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It conducts research and publishes reports on issues related to the SDGs, and educates and supports young people to become active leaders by bringing them together with decision-makers.

The Green Crescent has speeded up its international organization works in the last years and has started the foundation works for national Green Crescent in many countries. Each constituted Green Crescent, becomes a member of the International Federation of Green Crescent, established by the Turkish Green Crescent in October 2016.

NGO «Non-formal education for youth» is a non-profit, non-governmental youth organisation established in Dnipro in 2010 and working nationally as well as internationally. NGO «NFE 4Y»  is the important center for building youth social movement and training leaders of a new generation in Ukraine. Our mission is in the building of more tolerant, understanding and accepting society in Ukraine. We focused on the topics of peace building, intercultural interreligious dialogue, human rights, inclusion of minorities and refugees (IDP), tolerance and diversity, and active citizenship and participation of young people.

Fucina Salentina is a social promotion association that is guided by sustainable development and aims at the non-formal education of individuals, across different ages and life contexts, through workshops, events, conferences, and seminars. The guiding and inspiring principle of the association’s activities is education for sustainable development, not only on an environmental level but also on economic and social levels. One of the pursued objectives is combating educational poverty to promote the integration and social inclusion of disadvantaged individuals.
